Detailed description of the works Hi I have interviews from my phd research I am looking to get transcribed. Some information that others have requested; The format in which you will have the recordings (digital audio file that can be uploaded to our client extranet facility?) I have digital audio files that I recorded using the Phillips Voice Recorder App. I have them uploaded onto google drive I think the file type is WAV at the moment, and have been able to email them so I'd say they could be uploaded to the external facility. What you require in the transcript (word-for-word verbatim, or something more "cleaned up" or summarised?) I would require to be able to take quotes for a thematic analysis for my qualitative research so probably would need it close to word-for-word but could be flexible here, like as long as the key data is there, like the pauses etc laughs etc wouldn't need to be recorded if you get me. Are the interviews one-on-one or are there more than two participants in the interviews? The interviews are one-to-one Sound quality of the recordings, what environment they were recorded in etc. The recording are a mixture of face-to-face, by phone and skype call in either an office or my bedroom, most are of good quality in my opinion The subject matter being discussed (so might it need someone with specialist knowledge to understand technical terminology etc?) It is a study on parents experience of the health and education services for children with ADHD, the assessment and interventions and a typical day for their child with some general chat in between. I dont think there would be much technical terminology, the odd mention of a type of medicine but I could review the files and make any changes required. How quickly you would need the transcripts completed - I have about 15 interviews at the moment they are approximately an hour each , I will use multiple transcribers possibly as I would like them asap.
